Max and I were talking politics the other day at breakfast. We were listening to the radio and an ad for Barak Obama came on. He likes saying "Barak Obama." And really, who doesn't? So he says the Senator's name out loud: "Ba-RAK O-BA-ma!"
Heather: Max, if you could vote, who would you vote for? There's Barak Obama. And there's Hilary Clinton. Her husband was President before you were born. (I did not tell him that there are other people running, for obvious reasons.)
Max: Well, who has the most courage?
Heather: That's a good question. I don't really know the answer to that.
Max: I would vote for whoever has the most courage. The President has to have courage.
Heather: Silence (I wish Max were running for President.)
Read this while you ponder that:
Cowardly Lion: Courage. What makes a King out of a slave? Courage.
What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage.
What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist or the dusky dusk?
What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage.
What makes the Sphinx the 7th Wonder? Courage.
What makes the dawn come up like THUNDER?! Courage.
What makes the Hottentot so hot?
What puts the "ape" in ape-ricot?
Whatta they got that I ain't got?
Dorothy & Friends: Courage!
Cowardly Lion: You can say that again.

I'm crying. I guess I take after my dad.
I'm so used to my loser friends and family NOT commenting on the blog that I didn't realize I had comments! NEway, thanks for the "snaps" (that's so Brooklyn of you). And oh guess what, everybody, Regan's crying! Shocker.
