We decided to watch Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory tonight. Not the fabulous original with Gene Wilder, but the somewhat fabulous remake with Johnny Depp. The boys love it. The modern-day, hip hop Oompa Loompas are a real crowd-pleaser around here. So, we're at the critical point of the flick when Charlie tells Mr. Wonka that "I wouldn't trade my family for all the chocolate in the world." I turn to Max and ask, "Max, would you trade me and Daddy for chocolate?" His answer? "I would test it out first, but then no...no, I wouldn't." The truly sad part is that Max doesn't even like chocolate.
