A decade ago (OK, maybe 15 years ago), cool was hangin’ in the club—glued to the corner wall, with a drink in one hand (hooray for beer!). OK, that was Mark’s idea of cool. In 2008—with 3 kids, a house, jobs, and growing debt—this is cool: Hangin’ with the Q’s (our new BFF, the Quinlans) on a Saturday Night. It’s amazing what alcohol in a controlled environment can make one do. Mark belted ABBA’s Fernando verbatim (much to Jess’ delight), Heather lost a bet and had to wear this Incredible Hulk book bag all night, and Pat revealed his lifelong theme song: I'll Take You There by the Staple Singers. We’re all afraid of what is yet to come. (By the way, that's more than OJ in Jess’ glass.)
